Palythoas Live

Anyone familiar with LPS corals?
I have been keeping soft corals and LPS, mushrooms and zoanthids Palythoa in my aquarium for some time without major problems to report. Sometimes when I reworked the Aquascape or doing work on the tank that could stir sediments and coral worse, I can see mucous expelled. I'm not worried about it and I know it's normal. What I have is a curious passage in particular. When I work in the tank would expect to see one or two of a series of coral mucus eliminated, but sometimes I see the mucosa of the head skeleton sugarcane pieces that I thought had died a year earlier. Now, my question is this. Is he really dead? I have heard some say that the coral, as this can come back to life after years of thought has gone forever. Others say that Once the coral has declined to the point of disappearing completely, no return. I accepted the fact that I had bought a fragmented and fading and could not save him.
can come true hope that helps
