External Hardrive problem … No response .. HELP!?

Guys, I had an External Hardrive and instant messaging are using. One day, external HD does not. PC / laptop can still recognize the external HD, and sometimes may even open, but when I try to open a folder from the outside, Computer / Laptop hanging. and when I remove the external Hardrive PC / laptop back to normal. what appears to be the problem? Some people say the problem is the enclosure, but the box is just the case … or Theres something about the venue? I really want to reformat the external drive, but it had many files that are stored near 80GB and are used. NEED HELP please. Can I retrieve my files or backup? or is there a way to solve this problem? already tried use on other computers, but still not working.

try to use the disk on another PC / laptop .. if faced the same problem .. then you have another option to format the drive.
