how is the selection of the appropriate transformer when there are dynamic load (Induction Motor)?
I have 350kw dynamic load (induction motor:blowers,pumps,…), 270kw of this load operate by soft starter and variable frequency drive VFD.
What is the effect of starting current of motor on transformer selection?
How much the capacity of the appropriate transformer?

You need to look at the loads individually. The VFDs can be adjusted to limit the motor starting current to no more than 150% of rated input current, and likely only 100% to 110% for centrifugal pump and blower loads. The soft starters will limit the current to a lesser extent. You need to review the starter information. A harmonic study should be done. The VFDs draw harmonic currents all the time. The soft starters draw harmonic current only during starting. The motor loads should be prevented from starting all at the same time. The transformers should be rated for the harmonics. A voltage drop study needs to be done. The largest direct on line started motor, the largest soft started motor and any motors that start simultaniously will be the critical items. Those are the main items to consider. You need advise from someone with experience doing this.
Vt. nuclear plant shuts down to repair leaky pipe
