Why red algee continue growing in my Reef Tank of seawater?
I have an aquarium 30 gallons, lighting adequate filter Brandy, skimmer, a head of power, sound, Turbo Snails, clams and shrimp about 4 peppermint. i algee continue to grow red in the sand. I went to my store fish and dissolving red mud. I used it like 4 times because it kills, but in some days, it starts to grow again. I do not know what to do.
These "Red Slime Removers" treat only the symptoms and kill the algae, and cyanobacteria are most probably not a true seaweed. Cyanobacteria thrive in conditions where light is less abundant at temperatures of algae yellow and green and Kelvin where real plants can not use this light energy. I recommend increasing the light and make sure it has more in the actinic and the best range of PAR of 6400 K.
