Do I need a valve settings tape to run two air?

OK here it is. I'm about to start my aquarium I saw some people valves that direct the gang if they have a lot of devices airstone or air. I have two bars I run Airstone behind the aquarium. I have my valves to keep water in my pump up, and I put my two devices in the air my two points I have no Air Pump, seems unnecessary. is it? As I said, I have two air vents and I'm running just two bars airstone ….. OK respond if you do not know! I need someone with intelligence information about it!
